Within the education environment we provide, digital pens allow the learning progress of each student to be traced, improving the quality of education while reducing teachers' workloads. Thanks to the Handwriting Monitoring Demo for Education developed by Wacom, teachers can use one single screen to check how well children are solving problems using digital pens - and see exactly where pupils are having difficulties.
Both remote classes and online seminars can be enhanced with a highly interactive approach which allows all participants to write in real-time. By introducing Inkspace, a Wacom-developed application, into next-generation educational spaces, educators can create an environment where writing by all participants is captured in real-time; a digital white board (IWB) which can be shared as part of in a remote lesson increases the sense of participation for each student.
In the near future, digital stationery will help review curricula and implement individualized optimal learning. Analyzing data for each pupil, such as the time spent for reaching an answer and the strokes of writing, is the most effective way to recognize their learning progress and understanding. Wacom is working to establish a system that utilizes learning histories - which are not captured by conventional paper answer sheets - for the classes of tomorrow.
